Rescue
Miami Dade Rescue Railroad: They do a great and thankless job of assisting in the transport of dogs that are pulled out of local high kill shelters to adopters, foster homes or rescue groups. I drive a leg here and there when I can. They also help me transport the dogs I am able to pull out of local pounds.
South Florida Rescue Railroad: The same kind of group as MDRR but they work with animals all over South Florida but concentrate on the pets at the Broward County Animal Control kennel.
Aussie Rescue - Unfortunately there are more and more Mini Aussies showing up in rescue and as of right now the great folks at Aussie Rescue are taking them in for adoption.
Mini Aussie Rescue - Finally these great folks have gotten the mini aussie rescue up and running.
Malinois Rescue: You will never regret adoption. Save a life, adopt.
Puppy Mills: Humane Society - The U.S. Humane Society gives the facts about puppy mills. The truth about puppy mills - before you buy that puppy at the pet store, realize that the puppy came from the same kinds of places as these dogs. When you buy a pet store puppy you keep the puppy millers in business. Stop Wizard of Claws - Wizard of Claws is a retail pet store that sells puppies from places like you will see in the link above but will tell you they get them from local breeders. And they sell these puppies for outrageous prices from $500 to $12,000. Before buying a puppy at this or any other retail store check out this website. It also leads to a complaint section where other people tell of their experience with this store and others. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. And if you don't want to adopt, go to a dog show and talk to breeders but don't buy from a pet store. When you do, you are only making space for another puppy mill dog which perpetuates the horror of these places. Dogs I have pulled out of local Animal Control to place in rescue or foster care
